Exquisitely located on the southwestern shore of Lake Como in a beautiful gated private park, Villa Maria Taglioni and its adjacent sister property, Villa Serena, were once owned by a celebrated Swedish ballet dancer and have since welcomed esteemed guests including Bellini, Rossini, and Franz Liszt. Now fully restored to its 19th-century splendor, the villa can accommodate 14 guests in refined grandeur or smaller groups when renting individual villas.
Today, the lake is not only a place of resort for exclusive artists. Ranging from the world of La Scala to the rising global presence of the movie industry (yesterday Luchino Visconti, today Stephen Spielberg, and George Clooney), it is also home to many of Italy‘s and Europe’s leading families. Villa Maria Taglioni is directly linked with all transportation. This means you could safely park in the villa underground parking and take your rented boat or the comfortable water taxis from the dock – from where you can reach the Villa d’Este, or the charming villages of the lake.
Additionally, you can choose to call the three miles distant International Como Aeroclub and ask their seaplane taxi service to take you directly from the villas boat dock, either to a discovery tour of this thrilling alpine lake scenery or to insure your exclusive commuting with a 10-seats turbine Cessna Caravan seaplane from and to other destinations – Saint Moritz, Venice, Capri, etc.

Villa Maria Taglioni offers elegant neo-classical Lake Como living for up to 14 on three floors, with grand reception rooms, glorious bedrooms and stunning lake views.
The estate has been beautifully restored and is fully staffed with daily housekeeping for 4 hrs per day, seven days a week, including breakfast served between 08.00-10.00am. The property's cook and chefs are available as required.
This is one of the few estates on the lake that offers complete privacy with no traffic noise. A skippered Venetian-style water taxi can be made available so you have no need to drive farther afield and the village is just a ten minute stroll away.
The estate's beautiful garden is a cornucopia of towering magnolias, rare cypresses, thriving camellias and azaleas, and thick laurel. The stunning kidney-shaped pool curves into the hillside, with a waterfall at one end. A casual outdoor living space has been created under a copper beech tree for refuge from the sun and perfect for alfresco dining.
Villa Maria Taglioni is simply one of the finest private residences on Lake Como and the perfect place for family or a group of friends to celebrate a special event.

The property is always offered with full staff service (1 cook, 1 butler and one person for outside ground). Time schedule as follows:
7 days per week service (one day off for butler & cook or two half days off, at choice)
Butler service from 830am to 10pm with 3 1/2 hours rest in the afternoon
Cooking service from 830am to 10pm with 3 1/2 hours rest in the afternoon
Breakfast starting time from 845am until 10am
Lunch starting time from 1230pm until 2pm
Dinner starting time from 730pm until 930pm
(Guests must provide a Food and Beverage list (incl. wine, etc.) to the cook before their arrival so that the cook can insure the kitchen and bar service as soon as the guests arrive. Allergies to certain food must be very clearly mentioned well in advance before food purchase. All detailed accounting of the food and beverage expenses will be given to the guests at their arrival and follow up for these expenses will be done at the end of each week)
Daily cleaning is ensured 7 days a week; Bed linen are changed twice a week (2 changes per week) and bath linen are changed once a day (1 change per day)
Full energy service included (incl. Villas’ heating & cooling, park illumination, etc.)

Any extra hour requested out of the scheduled time are due to the staff at 13 Euros per hour and will have to be paid directly to the staff at the end of each week upon presentation by them of the record of their extra-hours hours.
All personal laundry ironing is considered as extra service and is due to the staff at 13 Euros per hour, to be paid directly to the ladies at the end of each week upon presentation by them of the record of their hours
All additional change in bed / bath linen will be done at an extra charge to be paid to the housekeeper every end of each week (fees: 40 Euros per extra change of double bed linen; 20 Euros per extra change of bath linen)

$5,000 payable by check to Doorways and refunded a month after your stay, less any damages or unpaid fees.
